Children do not like waiting, and winter asks a lot of it: for the bus, for the coat, for the food, for the next bright day.
We started making waiting visible. We count together, we sing a short verse, we look for something red in the room. Time does not pass faster, but it takes a shape.
Patience is not a character trait a child either has or lacks. It is a skill practised in everyday life, in many small portions.
